At the time of announcement is in Sony E mount and L-mount (Sigma, Leica, Panasonic) and it’s part of the ART family reference lenses.
It is a diagonal fisheye, with a huge maximum aperture. It is made with astrophotography in mind, where such a wide aperture makes sense. It sports a full correction of sagittal coma flare with outstanding resolving power till the edge. Corners appear not to be as good as the center at 1.4, but in just 1 stop perfection is reached, until f11 where diffraction lowers the quality.
The collar can be removed and swapped with a rubber ring to be more comfortable handheld. The big cap has two compartments for the gelatine filters that can be used in the rear slot.
